When you create an account, we collect:

Password (encrypted)
Tab and Website Data
To provide our service, we collect and store:
URLs of websites you save to the extension
Tab organization data (lists, groups, labels you create)
Timestamps of when tabs are saved

We store your tab data to sync across your devices and provide our service. If you don't want us to store this data, unfortunately our extension cannot function without it.
Data Storage: Local vs. Cloud
Local Storage: Some data may be temporarily stored locally in your browser's Chrome storage for performance purposes and offline access.
Cloud Storage: When you create an account, your tab data and account information are transmitted to and stored on our cloud servers hosted by Google Cloud Platform (Firebase). This allows you to:
Sync your data across multiple devices
Access your saved tabs from any device
Recover your data if you reinstall the extension
Important: Once you create an account, your data is stored on our servers. If you prefer to keep your data only on your device, please do not create an account (though this may limit extension functionality).

Share your tab data with anyone except as described in this policy

How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your account at any time by:
Going to Extension Settings > Account > Delete Account
OR by emailing us at support@tabbandit.io with "Delete My Account" in the subject line.
When you delete your account:
Your account information will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
Your saved tabs and lists will be removed from our servers.
Local data stored in your browser will remain until you uninstall the extension.
Some data may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed on servers located outside your country of residence, including in the United States. These countries may have different data protection laws than your country.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information when it is transferred internationally, in compliance with GDPR requirements. These safeguards may include Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as:
Your account remains active
It is necessary to provide our services to you

Tab and website data: Retained while your account is active, deleted within 30 days of account deletion.

Children's Privacy
Our extension is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at support@tabbandit.io, and we will delete such information from our systems.
