Last Updated: December 6, 2025

Brr Brands Inc ("we," "us," or "our") operates Tab Bandit, a Chrome extension that helps you organize and manage your browser tabs.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Chrome extension.

Your Consent

By installing and using our extension, you consent to the collection, use, and storage of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use our extension.

What Information We Collect

1. Tab and Website Data
To provide our service, we collect and store:

  • Open Tab Data: URLs and titles of currently open tabs. This is processed locally to display your dashboard, group tabs, and enable the discard feature.

  • Saved Data: URLs and metadata for tabs you explicitly save to a session or list.

  • Tab Organization: Lists, groups, and labels you create.

  • Timestamps: When tabs are created or accessed.

2. Device and Usage Information
We automatically collect:

  • Device type and operating system

  • Browser version

  • Extension usage data (features you use, error logs)

Third-Party Analytics:

We use third-party analytics tools to help us understand how users engage with the extension interface (e.g., our dashboard or settings page). We do not use these tools to track your browsing history on external websites.

  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4): We use Google Analytics to collect data regarding your interaction with the extension. This may include your IP address (processed anonymously), approximate geographic location, and usage metrics. You can learn more about how Google uses data here: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

  • Microsoft Clarity: We partner with Microsoft Clarity to capture how you use and interact with our extension interface through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay. This allows us to improve our product and fix user interface issues. Website usage data is captured using first and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies to determine the popularity of products/services and online activity. For more information about how Microsoft collects and uses your data, visit the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Note: 'Screen Time' and productivity analytics are processed and stored locally on your device.

3. Page State Data
To prevent data loss (e.g., closing a tab where you are typing), our extension locally detects the presence of unsaved forms or active media. We do not read or store the text you type or the media you consume.

4. Clipboard Data
When you use features like "Open URLs from Clipboard," the extension reads data from your clipboard solely to process the request locally. Clipboard data is never transmitted to our servers or stored remotely.

5. Navigation Monitoring
To support the Domain Blocker feature, the extension locally monitors navigation events to detect and block restricted sites you have configured. This processing happens entirely on your device; we do not track your browsing history remotely.

6. Website Newsletter (Optional)
We do not require an account to use the Tab Bandit extension. The extension functions entirely without a login.

If you voluntarily subscribe to our newsletter via our website, we collect your email address solely to send you product updates. This email is stored separately from your extension usage data.

Data Storage: Local vs. Cloud

Local Storage
The vast majority of your data (saved sessions, settings, history) is stored locally on your device in Chrome's storage. We do not transmit this data to our servers.

Cloud Storage (Share Feature Only)
Data is only transmitted to our servers when you explicitly use the 'Share Link' feature. In this case, only the specific URLs you selected to share are uploaded to our servers hosted by Cloudflare to generate a public link.
